Before you could send dynamic AMP email messages, you must meet a number of technical requirements and have a permitted from-email from which you’re going to send AMP emails.
A typical flow to get from-email approved to send AMP emails looks like this:
- You need to satisfy technical requirements
- You need a fully working AMP email template to send for the approval process
- You need to fill in the official sender registration form and wait for the approval
This guide will help you to get started with AMP mailings to reach outstanding results.
SPF, DKIM and DMARC must be configured correctly for the sending domain. Also the DMARC policy must be enabled in the "blocking" mode: p=quarantine or p=reject.
Requirements Related to the Email Services
Currently you can send AMP messages only for three email services: Gmail, Yahoo/AOL and Mail.ru.
It’s a must that your sender reputation is not lower than Medium/Fair. You can check your reputation at Gmail Postmaster.
There are no special requirements related to Yahoo/AOL.
- It’s a must that you have the List-Unsubscribe header and it’s properly working when unsubscribing from Mail.ru interface.
- Also, to start sending AMP messages to Mail.ru you must have the sending volume not less than 5,000 emails a month for the last three months.
Coding Your Template
To send an AMP email, you need to create both the html part and the amp part. Ampier lets you create beautiful templates rendered to a bullet-proof code for both parts in three ways: with Ampier visual builder, Ampier plugin for Figma or using Ampier framework.
It’s always better to apply for the approval with a template that matches your actual AMP message you are going to send to your audience.
Testing Your Template
Code interpretation slightly differs for email services, so you need to test your template before you send it for the approval.
After you create your template download the code and check it for the following email services using their tools.
Check your code with Gmail playground. It also lets you send test messages with your template to your email address. To have your AMP message working and receive test messages from your sender go to the Gmail dynamic email settings: Gmail > Settings > See all settings > General > Dynamic email > Check the Enable dynamic email checkbox > Go to the Developer settings and check the Always allow dynamic emails from this sender checkbox > Type your sender from-email > Save the settings.
There is no specific tool for Yahoo/AOL, but if it works with Gmail it would be working with Yahoo/AOL too.
Check your code with Mail.ru playground. It also lets you send test messages with your template to your email address.
After all the preparations you are ready to get permission for your sender to send AMP email messages.
- Send your message to the following email addresses:
- Fill in the official sender registration form and wait for the approval
Now you only need to wait for the message with approval and you are ready to send AMP emails.
